ClubGG Handbook

Playing ClubGG without it costing you

ClubGG is for adults (18+) and uses play money, yet it can still eat time and real money through subscriptions, in-app purchases and clubs that attach cash to chips. Set your limits before you sit down, and stop if the warning signs below sound familiar.

Two facts to start from

18+Adults onlyClubGG's terms require you to be 18, or older if your local law sets a higher age. Google Play's “Teen” label doesn't change that.
$0Cash value of chipsThe terms say “free play only”. Club chips have no monetary value, and ClubGG takes no deposits.

ClubGG is a free poker client that only offers poker gameplay with play money that doesn't have any monetary value. That doesn't make it cost-free in every sense. Here is where real money and real time can go:

Where it goesWhat to watch
WSOP+ membership ($9.99 or $49.99 a month)It renews automatically until you cancel. The terms say Premium is not refundable.
Diamonds and Club LevelsIn-app purchases: Diamond packs from $0.99 to $99.99, plus Club Levels for hosts. Small buys add up.
Clubs that attach cash to chipsArranged by people, not by ClubGG, and against its rules. If money goes missing, the app can't get it back.
TimeTournaments, multi-day events and up to 4 tables at once on mobile can turn “one game” into a whole evening.

The full picture of what ClubGG allows is in play money vs real money; the membership details are in WSOP+ explained.

Warning signs

Answer honestly. One “yes” is worth noticing; several mean it's time for a break.

  • You play longer than you planned, most of the times you play.
  • You've bought Diamonds or upgraded membership to “get back” at a bad session.
  • You've sent money to an agent or club admin to get chips, or you're waiting on one to pay you.
  • You hide how much you play or spend from people close to you.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you can't open the app.
  • Sleep, work, study or money for bills is slipping because of poker.
  • You keep chasing stage tickets or leaderboard places even when it's no longer fun.

Limits that work for players

  1. Decide your session length before you open the app and set a phone timer. When it rings, finish the hand and leave.
  2. Set a monthly spending cap for memberships and Diamonds — zero is a perfectly good cap, since none of them is needed to play.
  3. Require a password for every purchase in your App Store or Google Play settings, so nothing is bought on impulse.
  4. Check auto-renew. If you subscribe, note the renewal date; cancelling stops the next charge while benefits run to the end of the period.
  5. Never pay anyone for chips. Leave any club that asks for transfers, crypto or payment-app money.
  6. Take real breaks. Log out, delete the app for a while, or leave clubs you play in too much. You can reinstall later.

What club hosts can do

If you run a club, you shape how your members play. ClubGG gives hosts some tools, and the rest is house rules:

  • Use the limits that exist. The August 2026 app update added an Agent Win/Loss Limit, and union back offices offer daily or weekly win/loss limits.
  • Keep chips worthless. ClubGG's media guideline bans clubs from promoting real-money play or payment methods, and requires the bold play-money disclaimer in club promotion.
  • Admit adults only. If someone seems under 18, don't approve them.
  • Respect a request to stop. When a member asks to be removed or to stop receiving chips, do it without argument.
  • Schedule sensibly. Short tournaments with a clear end time are kinder than late-night marathons; the blind structure planner helps you hit a finish time.

The hosting guide covers club setup and roles in more detail.

Where to get help

Talking to someone helps, and it's free. Whether the problem is ClubGG or any other kind of gambling:

  • Gamblers Anonymous — peer support meetings in many countries, in person and online: gamblersanonymous.org.
  • GamCare — free information, support and counselling for people in Great Britain: gamcare.org.uk.
  • Your local helpline — most countries have a national gambling or addiction helpline; your doctor or health service can point you to it.

If you're worried about someone else, describe what you've noticed rather than accusing, and share the options above. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Where these facts come from

Checked against these official pages and store listings on 2026-10-31. If ClubGG changes something, its own terms win.
