Before you install: a 30-second eligibility check
Three things decide whether ClubGG will work for you at all. Tick them off first — it saves a wasted sign-up.
- You are 18 or older (or older still, if the legal age where you live is higher). That is the rule in ClubGG's terms, even though Google Play shows the app as “Teen”.
- You are not in a prohibited jurisdiction. The terms name, among others, the US states CT, GA, HI, MI, MN, MS, MT, OK, SC, SD, WA, NY, NJ and LA, the Canadian province of Quebec, and NSW, NT, SA and ACT in Australia — and say the list is not complete. ClubGG also runs filtering systems to block ineligible locations. Check where ClubGG is available if you are unsure.
- You will use one account. The terms allow one account per person. If you already have a GGPoker account, that is your ClubGG account too.
The five-step checklist
- Install the app from an official source. iPhone and iPad: the App Store (iOS 15.0 or later). Android: Google Play, where the genuine app has the package name
com.nsus.clubgg. Windows: ClubGG's own download page. Mac: the iPad app on an Apple-silicon Mac. Not sure which? The install overview compares all four. - Sign in with GG Pass, or create a GG Pass account. Already on GGPoker? Use that login. New? Third-party guides describe the flow as “Sign Up Now”, choose your country, enter your email, type in the verification code and set a password. Full details are in the account guide.
- Switch on two-factor login. ClubGG added login two-factor authentication in August 2025. Turn it on when the app offers it; it is the simplest protection against a stolen password.
- Search the club. Tap “Search Club”, enter the numeric Club ID your host gave you, add a Referrer ID only if the host or an agent gave you one, read the Club Notice, and send your application.
- Get approved, get chips, sit down. Once the club accepts you, request chips at the club's Counter and pick a table the club is running.
Step 4 in detail: getting into a club
ClubGG's own example of joining a club uses the GGPoker crossover freeroll: open the app, tap “Search Club”, enter Club ID 222222, read the Club Notice and register. Every club works the same way. Joining is by application: a Club Master or an authorised Manager reviews it, so approval is a human decision, not an instant one.
A few things that help:
- You can belong to many clubs at once. Each club keeps its own chips and its own rules.
- A club can belong to one union — a group of clubs under shared rules. Even then you apply to the club, not the union.
- Club IDs stay the same when a club joins a union, so an old ID from a friend still works if the club still exists.
| If this happens… | …do this |
|---|---|
| “Search Club” finds nothing | Re-check every digit with your host. If the ID is right, the club may have been closed — ask for a new one. |
| Your application has been pending for hours | Approval is the club's decision, made by hand. Message the host on whatever channel they used to invite you. |
| The club asks you to send money or crypto “to load chips” | Stop. ClubGG has no deposits and its chips have no monetary value. That arrangement is outside the app and outside its protection — see is ClubGG legit? |
| You don't have any Club ID | Read how to find a Club ID, or see our free tournaments page. |
Step 5: chips, the Counter and your first table
This is where ClubGG differs most from other poker apps. Chips belong to the club, not to you or to ClubGG. Each club's administration issues its own club chips, without limit, and ClubGG states they have no monetary value and are for use only inside that club. A stack in one club does not move to another.
You get chips through the club's Counter. Members send a chip request there; the Club Master, Managers or Agents with the right permissions grant or reclaim chips. Agents hand them out from “credits” given to them further up the club's hierarchy — so if an agent invited you, ask them first.
Then sit down. What you can play depends entirely on what the club has set up: Hold'em, Omaha and 5-Card Omaha are in the official store listing, Short Deck and the new Cucurucho mode exist too, and clubs can run tournaments. The game formats guide explains each one.
Table manners that are actually rules: ClubGG's terms require chat to be in English during play (trivial exceptions aside), and ban bots, scripts, macros, “team play” and collusion. On a phone you can play up to 4 games at once.
What you can skip on day one
Day-one safety checklist
- Install only from the App Store, Google Play or clubgg.com. Skip “modded” APKs and anything promising free Diamonds.
- Don't install the third-party “ClubGG launcher” or any bot or HUD add-on: the terms only allow access through ClubGG's own interface. Built-in tools like Smart HUD come with WSOP+.
- Never share your GG Pass password or login code with a club host or agent — no legitimate club needs it.
- Keep it as play money. If a game stops being fun, our responsible play page lists where to get help.
