Join in five steps
- Install ClubGG and sign in. Use the store or ClubGG's own site — see the install guide. Your login is a GG Pass account.
- Open Search Club. That is the name ClubGG's own instructions use. Third-party guides place it under the Club area of the app; the exact layout can shift between versions.
- Type the Club ID. It is a number, such as the 222222 that ClubGG publishes for its GGPoker freeroll. If the person who invited you also gave you a Referrer ID, enter it in the second field; if not, leave it empty.
- Read the Club Notice. ClubGG's freeroll instructions tell you to read it before registering. It is the club's house rulebook: schedule, chip policy, who to contact.
- Send the request and wait. Joining is by application. The Club Master — or a Manager the Master has authorised — reviews it. Until then the club shows as pending.
What you have decides what you do
| You have… | Do this |
|---|---|
| A numeric Club ID from someone you know | Follow the five steps above, then tell them you've applied. |
| A Club ID plus a Referrer ID | Enter both. The Referrer ID is a separate, optional field. |
| Only a club name or a screenshot | Ask the host for the numeric ID — ClubGG's published instructions are built around the number. |
| An ID from a forum, Telegram group or "clubs to join" thread | Run the vetting checklist below before you apply. |
| No ID at all | Try the official freeroll club (free tournaments) or start your own club and invite your own players. |
Stuck on "pending" and other snags
Approval is manual, so most problems are people problems. Work down this list.
| If… | Then… |
|---|---|
| Your request has been pending for hours | ClubGG publishes no time limit for approvals. Contact whoever gave you the ID outside the app and ask them to nudge the Master or a Manager. |
| Search finds nothing | Re-check the digits. If they're right, ask the host whether the club still exists — when a club is disbanded, its chips and credits are deleted with it. A club joining a union is not the reason: the Club ID stays the same. |
| You're approved but see no tables | Nothing may be running right now; check the Club Notice for the schedule. In clubs with Agents, ClubGG says game restrictions flow down the hierarchy, so your agent's settings can limit what you see. |
| You're approved but have no chips | Club chips come from the club. Members request them at the club's Counter, and authorised roles hand them out. They are free play chips — nobody should ask you to pay for them. |
| A table won't let you sit | Third-party guides report host settings that check IP, GPS or device. Ask the host which rule applies; never work around it. |
| The app won't work where you are | ClubGG filters access from places its terms exclude. Don't reach for a VPN — check where ClubGG is available. |
Vet a club before you join
A Club ID tells you nothing about who runs the club. ClubGG's own rules give you a good yardstick: its terms say the app is free play only, with no deposits, and club chips "have no monetary value". Its Media Guideline also bans clubs from publicly promoting real-money play or payment methods such as crypto, bank transfer or mobile payment. Anything that clashes with those rules is a red flag.
| What you see | What it tells you | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| "Send money to load chips" via Zelle, CashApp, crypto or bank | ClubGG has no deposits. Chips are issued by the club for free, without limit. Payments happen entirely outside the app — and outside any protection. | Don't pay. Leave the club. |
| Cash-outs, "rakeback" percentages, chip "agents" selling credit | A club running a money game on top of a play-money app, against ClubGG's rules. | Walk away. See play money vs real money. |
| Club name says "Official ClubGG" or uses the ClubGG/GGPoker name | ClubGG tells clubs not to imply endorsement or put its brand names in club names. | Treat it as unofficial at best. |
| Someone asks for your GG Pass password or 2FA code | Account takeover attempt. ClubGG allows one account per person, and it's yours. | Never share it. |
| Instructions to use a VPN, a "launcher", a second account or a bot | The terms ban multi-accounting, bots and accessing ClubGG through anything but its own interface. | Decline. Your account is what gets banned. |
| Club promo with no play-money disclaimer | ClubGG requires its bold play-money disclaimer in club and union promotional material. | Ask why it's missing. |
Green lights: a host you know in real life, a clear Club Notice, chips handed out at the Counter for free, and no money talk anywhere. That is what ClubGG describes a club to be.
If a club pushes you toward payments, you can report it to ClubGG support at support@clubgg.com. Our own address, support@clubgg.poker, is only for questions about this handbook.
Why this handbook lists no clubs
Searches like "best ClubGG clubs" or "clubs to join" mostly lead to pages that earn money from chip deals and rakeback — the exact thing ClubGG prohibits. We can't verify who runs any private club, so we don't list them. The one exception is club 222222, because ClubGG itself publishes it on its freeroll page as the home of its GGPoker crossover freeroll. Details and eligibility are on our free tournaments page.
Club IDs, roles and unions: the short version
- You can join many clubs. Each club is separate, with its own chips.
- One role per club at a time. ClubGG's ladder runs Club Master → Manager → Super Agent → Agent → Player. Most people join as a Player.
- Unions don't change the ID. A club can belong to one union at most; when it joins, it keeps its Club ID and shows a Union Flag.
- Hosts can advertise their ID. ClubGG's guideline lets clubs promote their own logo and Club ID — so a club sharing its number openly is normal; what it pairs that number with is what matters.
