Tournament night: a host's checklist
- A week out: run the blind planner with your expected field and finish time. Enter the levels in the tournament settings and post the schedule in your Club Notice.
- Two days out: set the prize in plain words — chips, a ticket, a leaderboard title. Never money; ClubGG is free play only.
- Start time: check every registered player's chips or ticket arrived via the Counter. The Trade Record shows it.
- Final table: if players ask to stop, open the ICM calculator, type the stacks and the unpaid prizes, and share the result.
- Afterwards: note how long it really took. If it ran 30 minutes long, shorten levels or start shallower next time.
How the tools work
Both are short, open JavaScript running in your browser. The blind planner spreads big blinds geometrically between a start depth you choose and an end point tied to the total chips in play, then rounds every level to “nice” chip values. The ICM calculator uses the Malmuth–Harville model: your chance of finishing first equals your share of the chips, and the same logic repeats for every lower place. Each tool's page explains the method and walks through a worked example.
Neither tool knows your club's actual ClubGG settings. Treat the output as a plan you then enter in the app — the field names there may differ, and ClubGG publishes its full tournament settings only in its help center.
Three numbers to decide before you open any tool
With those three written down, the blind planner takes a minute and a final-table deal takes seconds. Without them, every tournament night starts with a debate.
For the setup itself
The tools assume a club already exists. If it doesn't, start with the hosting playbook, then club tournaments for the features a ClubGG tournament supports.
