ClubGG Handbook

Running tournaments in your ClubGG club

A ClubGG club can run full multi-table tournaments: multi-day events with stacks carried over, bounty (PKO) events, satellites, recurring schedules and custom prizes. Decide the structure on paper first, then build it in the app.

What a club tournament can include

ClubGG's help center, the full settings reference, couldn't be read for this guide, so this table is assembled from release notes, blog posts and the help-center article titles that are public.

Plan it in five decisions

  1. Field and time box. How many players do you realistically expect, and when must it end? A weeknight game that runs past midnight loses players for next week.
  2. Stack and clock. Choose starting stack and level length together. The blind structure planner turns those into a full level table that finishes near your target.
  3. Format. Freezeout for a simple night; PKO when you want action from the first level; a satellite when the prize is a seat in a bigger event.
  4. Prize. Chips, a ticket, a title on the leaderboard — written into Custom Prize so nobody is surprised.
  5. Schedule. One-off, or recurring so it reappears every week without rebuilding.

Multi-day events

Stack carryover means Day 1 can stop at a fixed time and survivors resume with the same chips on Day 2. Pick the Day 1 cut-off by level, not by player count — “we stop after level 12” is a promise you can keep; “we stop at the final table” isn't.

Bounties (PKO)

In a progressive knockout, as the format generally works, each entry puts part of its value on the player's head. Knocking someone out pays you part of their bounty and adds the rest to your own. ClubGG doesn't publish its exact split, so check the preview in the tournament form. In a play-money club, bounties are a pacing tool: they reward early aggression and keep short stacks from folding to the money.

Satellites

A satellite's prize is an entry to a target tournament. Inside a club that's a ticket issued through the Counter; ClubGG's terms say tickets have no monetary value. For the official WSOP-ticket qualifiers that ClubGG runs itself, see Road to WSOP Circuit.

A sample evening structure

Using the planner's defaults — 18 players, 10,000 chips each, 10-minute levels, three hours, 100-big-blind start, big-blind ante from level 4 — you get 18 levels:

LevelMinutesBlindsBB anteStarting stack in BB
10–1050 / 100—100
430–40100 / 20020050
760–70250 / 50050020
1090–100500 / 1,0001,00010
14130–1401,500 / 3,0003,0003.3
18170–1805,000 / 10,00010,0001.0

By the last level the 180,000 chips in play are worth about 18 big blinds in total, so the game is short-handed and all-in heavy right on time. Add breaks yourself; the planner doesn't.

Final tables and deals

ClubGG's help center has a “Final Table Deal” article, which tells you deals are a supported idea, but we couldn't read how the in-app flow works. Whatever the button does, the hard part is agreeing what's fair. Chip counts overstate the leader's share; the ICM calculator gives the standard answer in seconds.

Keep prizes inside the rules

ClubGG is free play only, and its Media Guideline bans clubs from promoting real-money gambling or payment methods. “Custom prize: $100 via crypto” is exactly what gets clubs removed. Keep prizes to chips, tickets, titles and bragging rights.

Questions people ask

Can I run a multi-day tournament in a ClubGG club?
Yes. ClubGG's release notes in early 2026 added multi-day tournaments with stack carryover, and the help center has an article called “Table Creation – Multi-Day Tournament”.
Which games work for club tournaments?
The help center's settings article is titled “MTT Settings Breakdown (NLH, PLO, 6+)”, so No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha and Short Deck are covered.
How do final table deals work on ClubGG?
The help center has an article titled “Final Table Deal”, but its content couldn't be read, so we don't describe the in-app steps. To agree a fair split, run the stacks through the ICM calculator.
Can I give real prizes in a club tournament?
Not money. ClubGG is free play only and bans clubs from promoting real-money play. Custom prizes should be chips, tickets, titles or leaderboard points.
Can other clubs join my tournament?
ClubGG added Club Tournament Share in November 2025, and unions can choose which tournaments to include. The exact sharing rules are in a help-center article (“Tournament Sharing”) that isn't publicly readable.
